Poem about Kaaba being symbolic pt of unity and if removed, would show all muslims praying toward one another?
I heard about this in a museum today and would be really interested in finding the actual poem. i've googled to no avail. it is a purely hypothetical situation that is proposed and the point the (devout muslim) guide was trying to make was that Muslims do not worship the Kaaba or its contents, it is simply a focal point for prayer used to unify muslims around the world. he essentially said that the religion wasn't purely dependent on the kaaba, though it was an intrigal part of the religion. he was saying it to clarify misconceptions people have about muslims not being monotheistic by (incorrectly) interpreting prayer toward mecca as worship of something other than Allah. Sorry if my question was unclear. I'm sure the poem says it much more beautifully than I am able to.
