I am so scared for the end of the world?

Today, I saw on the news something about there being an asteroid threat to our earth. I have googled a bit, and there's threats all over the place about giant asteroids hitting our earth soon or in the next 20 years. I s this going to happen? I am so scared. Please don't be rude.
