GSM-M?? Is this a good job in the U.S. Navy?

Gas Turbine Systems Mechanical for those who don't know exactly what this is. I would greatly appreciate your answers and opinions. I'm so happy about my choice to finally join the military! We have a lot of nay-sayers that haven't servered nor have any dealings with the military at all. So I like to stick with those who have served time or are currently in DEP status.
