What is the best way to lose 40lbs?

A healthy amount of weight to lose is about 1 lb a week (maybe 2 lbs if you are very overweight to begin with). That will put you at losing more like 20 lbs by June. If you are losing more than that, it probably means you are either starving yourself or exercising like crazy, and you probably won't be able to keep up that lifestyle (plus it's unhealthy to not eat and will actually slow down your metabolism). I don't think fad diets like Atkins really work long-term (and the Atikins diet in particular can put you in a state of ketoacidosis and make you sick because you are not eating enough carbs). You just need to practice moderation, cut your portions, and find healthier things to replace the junk in your diet (i.e. eat an apple instead of candy, use whole wheat instead of white bread, drink water instead of soda or juice which are full of empty calories). Exercise is also VERY important. For cardio, start with walking, then progress to speed-walking, then jogging (or ride a bike if your joints are bad). You should do this for 30-60 minutes around 5 times per week. It is also important to do some simple weight-lifting exercises. This will build your muscle, which helps to speed up your metabolism. The only problem with exercise is that it can sometimes make you feel hungry. You need to make sure that you are not canceling out the calories you burn by eating more. Anyway, if you start taking better care of yourself and yet don't seem to be making any progress, remember that it takes time. Also, when you exercise, you will lose fat, but also gain muscle, which weighs more than fat. This may mean that you will not lose weight, even though you're losing fat and looking better. Don't get discouraged! It is more important to be healthy than to look good. Do you know who I think the most athletic basketball players ever were?

I'm not saying the best basketball players, but the best athletic players ever with mad abilities. Julius "Dr.J" Erving, and Dominique Wilkins are the two most athletic basketball players ever! I was watching highlights and I remember when they played however, looking at them again on the Youtube. It made me think. Have I ever seen any of the stars like Lebron James come through traffic and dunk on 4 players all at once? No. Dominique Wilkins did. Do creative backward dunks and 360's, and windmills sometimes over people? No. Dr. J and Dominique were known for doing stuff you wouldn't even risk doing in a game. It was like Nate Robinson and Dwight Howard every basketball game 4 or 5 times a game, 82 games a year, so about 400 to 500 times a NBA season they were doing slam dunk contest dunks during games. Do anybody remember the dunk that Dr. J did when he cuffed it and windmilled it gliding through the air from about in between 3pt. line and the hash mark of the paint area going from the baseline direction? Dr. J still has the most remarkable play in NBA history it was against the Lakers he was behind the backboard and somehow got the ball to go through the hoop, and Kareem Abdul Jabbar was all over him as well. He still got the basket. Incredible! Mad shout out to Dominique Wilkins and Dr. J!

well your a little over weight for your age, but you can diet. 150 its not that bad, you can join a sport team, so yeah. but just because you think your fat doesnt mean people dislike you. i have a friend who is 5'4 and she is 165 lbs and she is so popular at school. she has a handsome boyfriend too.

Block house windows at night?

Frost the gl with an opaque white spray paint. It will let light through, but block the view. You don't need to frost right to the edge. You can use painter's tape and leave an inch or two around the edge clear for more light.
